Hunt County needs vision, direction, and a willingness to confront both challenges and
opportunities head-on. This roadmap broadly outlines how we begin to move Hunt
County starting on day one.
Progress begins with evaluation, individually and as a team. We must identify what’s
working, what isn’t, and where change is necessary. Hunt County needs leadership that
is willing to speak plainly and act decisively.
Real leadership is collaborative. I will create a vision and plan that includes county staff,
elected officials, community members, and stakeholders across Hunt County. When
everyone has ownership, progress accelerates.
A thriving county requires a strong, empowered leadership team. With clear
expectations, accountability, and trust, we can deliver meaningful results. Momentum is
created when people are equipped and supported — not ignored, resisted, or kept in
the dark.
Transparency isn’t optional. Hunt County residents have a right to know what’s
happening with their county government, why decisions are made, and how progress is
unfolding. If elected, I will foster a communication culture that informs, listens, and
invites the community into the functions of County Government.
We face significant issues that demand real solutions:
-A pattern of poor or reactive decision-making
-Poor budget processes lacking transparency and communication
-Lack of long-term strategic planning — governing day-by-day instead of preparing for
the future
To meet these challenges and others, I have identified a number of Day 1 Priorities
listed in no particular order.
